A resurgent Medvedev secured his first trophy for 882 days with a win over Frenchman Moutet in the tournament final.
The athlete, a ex- number one, has endured a difficult season, managing just one win at the major tournaments and suffering a meltdown at the New York tournament.

Now working with Thomas Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, the tennis star has gradually progressed in the last few weeks - peaking in a tightly fought three-set win over challenger Corentin Moutet.

"This victory is in honour of my second daughter my daughter, because the initial championship I achieved when my older daughter my daughter was born was for her."
The tennis star, the past champion, had failed in his last six title deciders, comprising in the German tournament previously this season.
Medvedev's retrieving approach and regular outbursts on the playing surface had caused commentators to doubt if his ability to play at the highest level was concluded.
But the 29-year-old has made changes in the past month, striving to come to the net and perform positively, backed up by an improved serve.
He came back from a disadvantage in the opening set against the difficult opponent, taking 4 of the concluding five exchanges to gain the advantage.
The competitors swapped break points in the following set before the challenger, bidding for his initial ATP Tour championship, took control to force a third set.
Moutet rescued four early break points in a close third set before the Russian secured a break to 15 to serve for the match.
Suitably, he secured the title with a shot at the net area, with Moutet failing to manage a shot after a lengthy match.
